People in Japan hit by the recent massive floods are getting a little help from Apple if their iPhones, Macs or iPads were damaged as a result of the floods.

In a message posted on its regional support site, Apple says it is offering flood victims free repairs on damaged Apple products from now until the end of September.

Apple’s free repairs are available for the Mac, iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, iPod, and Apple display that were directly damaged by the heavy rain in July. Unfortunately, Beats headphones are not covered by the repair program.

Flooding victims looking to get their device repairs are being told to contact Apple support (0120-27753-5).

Successive heavy downpours in southwestern Japan from mid-June to July resulted in widespread, devastating floods and mudflows. Over 200 people in Japan have died as a result of the flooding.

Apple offered a similar repair relief program last year to victims of Hurricane Harvey. Customers may be asked for proof of ownership at the time of repair. Affected products that are repairable will be shipped to a repair center so there may be some delays getting your water-damaged products back.
