The latest iteration of Android has been available for some time and users are finally getting it. Android Nougat offers a number of really handy features, but none so handy as split screen mode. With this new ability you can work with two apps open simultaneously, so multitasking is not only possible, it’s easy.

Let me show you how to work with split screen mode.

With an Android app open, long press the Intents button (otherwise called the “Recent Apps” button) and then scroll through until you find the app you want to use). All you have to do is tap the app you want to add to the screen and you’re good to go; both apps will be displayed on the screen.

When you’re done with the second app, all you have to do is long press the divider bar and slide it downward until it disappears.

That’s all there is to it. Android can now handle multitasking reliably, so you can work efficiently.
