How to Quickly Delete All the Photos from your iPhone
If you decide you want to delete all of the photos on your phone and start from scratch, you might be surprised that there is no easy “Select All” feature — you’ll need to select the photos individually which might appear challenging if you have hundreds or thousands of photos on your phone. However, there is a way of selecting all of the photos on your phone fairly quickly by dragging with your finger.
If you have a Mac, however, you can choose Select All from the menu (or Press Command + A) and then tap the Delete key on your keyboard.
To Delete all the Photos on your iPhone
- Launch the Photos app.
- Tap Albums on the bottom of your screen.
- In the Albums area, tap All Photos.
- Tap Select on the top-right corner of your screen.
- Slide your fingers from the right to the left over the bottom four photos and keep your finger on the screen.
- With your finger on the screen, swipe upwards to the gray bar on the top of the phone (that initial reads 4 Photos Selected). This will jump to the top of the camera roll and select all photos between the last row and first row as you scroll to the top.
- When all the photos are selected, remove your finger and click the Trash icon on the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Tip: You can also do this staring with the first row and then dragging to the gray bar on the bottom of the screen.
