Former U.S. vice president Al Gore is set to make an appearance at Apple’s flagship store in San Francisco this week where he will speak about climate change.
Gore will be joined by Apple VP of environment Lisa Jackson who also served as the head of the EPA during the first four years of the Obama administration. The two are set to talk about Apple’s ongoing commitment to the environment and anyone can attend.
To get into the event, Apple fans will need to RSVP online. Apple’s page for the event currently shows that it is full. Gore and Jackson will take the stage on Wednesday at 7PM PT at the Apple store at Union Square in San Francisco.
Al Gore is promoting his new movie “An Inconvenient Sequel” that highlights the danger of climate change and its effects on the planet. Apple CEO Tim Cook praised the movie earlier this year during a private screening in Silicon Valley.
“Ten years later, there’s still signs all around us of the climate crisis, but there’s also great reasons for optimism,” said Cook. “Markets are rewarding renewable energy everywhere, but of course the clock still runs, and the urgency has never been greater, and so I think there has never been a better time for this film.”
