iTunes is finally coming to the Windows Store.

Microsoft made the surprise announcement today during its Build 2017 developers conference, which also included the unveiling of a new tool that lets developers create iOS apps on Windows PCs.

Apple bringing iTunes to the Windows Store will be a huge deal for people who run Microsoft’s new Windows 10 S operating system (like owners of the new Surface Laptop). Windows 10 S only allows users to install apps from Microsoft’s store. The feature is similar to Apple’s GateKeeper on macOS, except it restricts all outside apps.

Details on what the iTunes app will look like and how it will work remain unclear. No screenshots or app demos got revealed during the keynote, and Apple didn’t say when it will be available.
