Microsoft has delivered Windows 10 Insider Preview build 16237 to testers in the Fast ring, adding improvements to Microsoft Edge, the shell, and Action Center and notifications.

Here’s what’s new.

Microsoft Edge improvements. Microsoft’s web browser picks up web page and PDF real aloud with word and line highlighting, plus a slew of smaller improvements.

Windows shell improvements. You will no longer need to logout and then log back in to fix blurry Windows desktop applications after docking or undocking; instead, you can now just restart the offending application. As with all things related to high DPI displays, this won’t work for all applications, but it’s another step in the right direction.

Action Center and notification improvements. Microsoft’s notifications solution has been updated in numerous small ways, with fit and finish improvements and bug fixes.

My People improvements. My People now displays more consistent notifications. And Microsoft has actually named a My People feature: When you receive emoji from people pinned to the taskbar, it’s called a “pop.” Yes, really.

Input improvements. The all-important Emoji Panel has gotten some update I couldn’t care less about, and the Touch keyboard and Handwriting panel have received numerous small improvements.

PC gaming improvements. The Game Bar now has a new Game Mode toggle. That should look like a power button but doesn’t.

Task Manager improvements. The Performance tab—which now houses the new GPU performance tracker—has an updated UI and offers more details.

Hyper-V improvements. The virtual machine gallery feature that Rafael exclusively revealed this past week is now live in build 16237. There’s no gallery yet, but the UI is there.
