Worry no more about an iPhone 8 delay.

According to the latest rumors surrounding Apple’s next-generation smartphone, a launch will go ahead in September as originally planned. Analysts say they see no delays in the company’s supply chain, and still expect the iPhone 8 to enter mass production on time.

We’re all expecting this year’s iPhone to be spectacular. To celebrate the handset’s tenth anniversary, Apple is said to be making significant changes, with an all-new design, its first OLED smartphone display, and features like iris scanning.

Thanks to all those changes, it’s thought Apple has had trouble sourcing enough components from suppliers. That OLED display in particular is reportedly difficult to manufacture, and therefore hard to obtain in the massive numbers Apple demands.

Some rumors have even suggested the iPhone 8 will be delayed until as late as November — but Morgan Stanley analysts say that won’t be the case. Although there may be low yields of some components, everything is on track for a September launch.

“Morgan Stanley’s Greater China Technology Research colleagues have not yet seen delays in the supply chain and still expect new iPhone production to start on time for most of the components (including OLED),” the firm revealed.

This corroborates earlier claims from the reliable @OnLeaks, whose sources say that the iPhone 8 will enter PVT (Production Validation Test) in October ahead of mass production in August.
